படர்க்கை

படர்க்கையைப் பற்றி படிக்கும் போது ஒருவரது சொல்லாற்றல் தமிழில் அதிகரிக்க ஆரம்பிக்கிறது. third person in Tamil

இந்தப் பழம் என்னுடையது

All these sentences are first person singular in present tense
உன் பெயர் கண்ணன் Your name is kannan
நீ ஒரு பையன் You are a boy
நீ என் அண்ணன் You are my brother

இந்தப் புத்தகம் உன்னுடையது This book is yours
உன் பெயர் அகிலா- Your name is Akilla
நீ ஒரு பெண் you are a girl.

மேலே குறிப்பிட்ட வாக்கியங்களை நாம் தன்மை , முன்னிலை ஆகியவற்றைப் பற்றி அறிந்து கொள்ளப் பயன்படுத்தினோம்.

இந்த வாக்கியங்களைக் கூர்ந்து நோக்கினால் இவற்றுள் தன்மை , முன்னிலையைக் குறிக்காத சில பெயர்ச் சொற்களைக் காணலாம். கண்ணன், பையன், அண்ணன், பழம், அகிலா, பெண், தங்கை, பூ,புத்தகம் ஆகிய சொற்கள் படர்க்கையைக் குறிக்கின்றது. அதாவது நான், என் என்ற இரு சொற்கள் தான் இவற்றைத் தன்மை இடமாகவும் நீ , உன் என்ற சொற்கள் இவற்றின் இடத்தை முன்னிலையாகக் காட்டுகின்றன.இந்தக் குறிப்புகள் இல்லாத நிலையில் இவை படர்க்ர்கைப் பெயர்களாக இருக்கின்றன.
தமிழில் படர்க்கை என்று சொல்லும் போது அவை சில வகைகளாகப் பிரிக்கப்படுகின்றன.
முதலில் வருவது திணை.
திணை என்பது ஒரு ஒழுக்கத்தைக் குறிக்கும்.

தேவர், நரகர் மனிதர்கள் இவர்களைக் குறிக்கும் சொற்கள் உயர்திணையாகக் கருதப்படுகிறது இவர்களுக்குக் அடுத்தபடியாக இருக்கும் மற்ற எல்லா உயிரினங்களும், உயிர் இல்லாத பொருட்களும் அஃறிணையாகக் கருதப்படும். இன்னும் குறிப்பாகச் சொல்லப் போனால் யார் என்ற கேள்விக்குப்பதில் ஒரு தேவராகவோ, நரகராகவோ, மனிதனாகவோ இருந்தால் அது உயர் திணை என்று கொள்ள வேண்டும்.
என்ன எது என்ற இரு கேள்விகளுக்கு வரும் எல்லாப் பதில்களும் அஃறிணையாக இருக்க வாய்ப்பு உண்டு.
கண்ணன், அண்ணன், பையன் அகிலா, சிறுமி தங்கை என்ற சொற்கள் உயர்திணையையும், பூ பழம்,புத்தகம் ஆகியவை அஃறிணையையும் குறிக்கிறது

திணை என்ற ஒரு பிரிவு படர்க்கைப் பெயர்களுக்கு மட்டுமே வருகிறது. ஒரு பெயர் உயர் திணையாக இருந்தாலும் அஃறிணையாக இருந்தாலும் இந்தத் திணைப்பிரிவு தன்மை, முன்னிலை இரண்டிலும் இல்லை என்பதை நாம் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். இங்கு பேசப்படும் பெயர்ச்சொல்லின் எண்ணிக்கை ஒன்றை காட்டுகின்றது என்பதையும் கவனத்தில் கொள்ளவும்.

We used these sentences to learn about first person and second person nouns. If we look closely, there are third person nouns in the sentences. Kannan, boy, brother, fruit, girl, sister, flower all are third person nouns. The first person indicators என்( en), நான்(naan) only shows the first person the noun belongs to. Similarlyநீ( nee), உன்(un) indicators change the nouns to second person.
We can clearly see the nouns by themselves are thrid person. The Tamil word for third person is padarkkai
Basically the third person pronoun has so many divisions. The first main division is on the class.(upper class)உயர் திணை, (inferior class) அஃ றிணை. The upper class is for gods, demons and humans. Any other word even if it is a living being it is considered as lower class.
These classifications can help us to add the correct suffix.

A clue

If one can answer a question who with the word, then that word is (upper class)உயர் திணை.

If one can answer a question what or which with the word, then that word is (inferior class) அஃ றிணை.
Note that, the classification of uyarthinnai or akkRinnai is only for third person.
