When one wants to address some one they say
வணக்கம் vaNnakkam
When one wants to introduce their name they say
என்னுடைய பெயர் ennudiya peyar
and their name.
When one wants to address a male with respect you say
வணக்கம் ஐயா. vaNnakkam aiyya
The word aiyaa is a is a respective way to address the masculine gender.
வணக்கம் அம்மா vannakkam amma
is a way to address a feminine gender with respect.
Once the first introduction is over in the conversation one will ask the name of the person.
When the children are addressing one another they will ask. When friends ask each other also they use the same way.
உன்னுடைய பெயர் என்ன? unnudaiya peyar enna?
When one asks the name of a person with respect they address them in plural form.
உங்களுடைய பெயர் என்ன? ungkaLLudiya peyyar enna?
When one asks the name of a person who is near by with respect
they will say
இவருடைய பெயர் என்ன? ivarudaiya peyar enna?
When one asks the name of a person who is near by with respect
they will say
அவருடைய பெயர் என்ன? avarudiya peyar enna?
Note that when one is addressing the person in front of them they use the plural form. When they are asking about someone who is not in front of them they are addressing them in singular form, in third person.
