  • உயிர் எழுத்தின் இரண்டாம் எழுத்தான “ஆ” மெய் எழுத்துக்களோடு கலக்கும் போது அடுத்தப் பதினெட்டு உயிர்மெய் எழுத்துக்கள் உருவாகின்றன. அவை அனைத்தும் இரண்டு மாத்திரை அளவுள்ள நெடிலாக ஒலிக்கின்றன.

    மெய் எழுத்துக்கள் தங்கள் புள்ளியை இழப்பதோடு ஒவ்வோரு எழுத்துக்கும் பின்னால் துணைக்கால் என்ற குறியீடு சேருகிறது.

  • தமிழ் எழுத்துக்களின் உயிரான  உயிர் எழுத்துக்களும், மெய்யான மெய் எழுத்துக்களும் ஒன்று சேர்ந்து மனிதன் எல்லா ஒலிகளுக்கும்  உயிர்மெய் எழுத்துக்கள் என்ற பெயரால்  வரிவடிவம் கொடுக்கின்றன. அதில் முதலில் வருவது அகர உயிர் மெய்.

    உயிர் எழுத்து “அ” மெய் எழுத்துக்கள் பதினெட்டோடு கலந்தால் ஏற்படும் வரி வடிவ மாற்றத்தையும் ஒலி மாற்றத்தையும் இங்குப் பார்க்கலாம்.

    மெய்யெழுத்து”க்”ன் ஒலியோடு உயிரெழுத்தின் ஒலி “அ”   இணையும் போது எழும்பும் “க்”ஒலிவடிவம் “க” என்ற எழுத்தாக வரிவடிவம் பெறுகிறது.இது போல பதினெட்டு மெய் எழுத்துக்களோடும் அகரம் கலக்கிறது.
    இந்த அகர உயிர்மெய் எழுத்துக்கள்  ஒரு மாத்திரை அளவைக் கொண்டு ஒலிக்கும் குறில்களாகும்.

    The sound ik(க்) mingles with a(அ) makes the sound ka(க).Like wise the vowel அ interacts with all the consonants. They have a one second duration to sound out the letter.
